Make the Connection
Our desire here at The Brook is that you connect into the family of God. As Pastor Brian said in the video, "That's always going to be about relationships. Relationships with God and with each other." In order to do that, we've tried to make the "next step" as clear as possible. So if you're planning on joining us for the first time, we want you to know what those steps look like.
When you join us on a Sunday, we can assure you that you will be welcomed. We love guests! But we also want you to be fully informed. We want to communicate with you as clearly as possible. In order to do that, we ask you to fill out a Connection Card during the Worship Service and turn it in to the Welcome Center in the lobby after the service. One of our Connection Team members (they'll be wearing an "Ask Me" button) will be waiting to meet you, take your information, give you information about The Brook, and even put a gift in your hands. We can't wait to meet you this Sunday!
The Connection Classes are a window into our mission and vision here at The Brook. You will learn more about our Core Values, our Vision Strategy, and the importance and place of Missional Communities in our calling to make "disciple-making disciples". Here are the details:
Discovering Discipleship // FIRST Sunday @ 10:45
The Discipleship class answers 2 very important questions: What is a disciple? (&) What does that look like at The Brook? As followers of Jesus, we are not just disciples - we are called to be disciple-making disciples. We believe this most effectively happens as we are living on mission together for the Gospel.
Discovering Membership // SECOND Sunday @ 10:45
As a follow up to the Discipleship class, the Membership class also asks 2 equally important questions: What is a church member? (&) What does that look like here? We explore our Beliefs & Core Values, our ministry strategy, and the qualifications & expectations of those who choose to make The Brook their church home.
Discovering Discipleship + Discovering Membership = CONNECTION
A unified view and biblical understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Christ and a part of His Church are essential. This is why the pathway to membership at The Brook is rooted in these 2 classes. You can sign up for the next class(es) HERE or through the app. We hope to see you there!
Need childcare? Not a problem. That's why we hold the classes during the 10:45 service. If you have questions (or) you're ready to come and learn more about how God can use you for His Kingdom here at The Brook, click HERE.

We Worship Because We Want To...
We worship because we want to be grateful. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, God has graciously restored and redeemed us from death, hell, and the grave. At The Brook we earnestly desire to pour out our lives in grateful and authentic worship as we corporately gather each week. The gospel of Jesus Christ has radically changed us and we cannot help but celebrate God’s amazing grace as a church body.
We worship because we want to be obedient. In obedience we also desire to give the sacrifice of praise that God desires from us. In an age ravaged with idolatry and small gods, we declare Jesus Christ as our God and King. As the Spirit freely moves, our lives are surrendered to God more and more each week.
We invite you to join us in our Sunday services as we sing, pray, read Scripture, hear the Word preached, and take communion. We take very seriously what we do in our services, but at the same time maintain a casual and welcoming atmosphere. You will find folks from all walks of life who have simply gathered to meet with each other and to meet with the Lord. Come join us each Sunday morning at 9:00 or 10:45.
The Brook Kids
The Brook Littles (birth-5 years)
The Brook Littles is the preschool ministry environment provided each Sunday morning during the 9:00 and 10:45 services. Our classrooms are staffed with caring leaders who are committed to providing a safe and fun place to learn and grow. On Sunday Mornings, our goal is to lay a foundation for lifelong faith. We give our little ones their first glimpses of God's truth and His people, and provide support for moms and dads who are just beginning their job as spiritual leaders. We believe that parents are the greatest influence in a child's life, and we desire to partner with parents in discipling their children. The combined influence of the home and the church is greater than either can be alone, so throughout the month, children will take home tools that will reinforce the truths they are learning and help parents make discipleship a part of their family's everyday life.
By the time your children leave The Brook Littles, we hope that they have learned these three basic truths:
- God made me.
- God loves me.
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
On your first visit to The Brook Littles, please arrive fifteen minutes before service time to get your family set up in our check in system.
The Brook Kids (kindergarten-6th grade)
The Brook Kids is the children's ministry environment provided each Sunday morning. Small groups are available for kindergartners through fifth graders during the 9:00 and 10:45 services. Small groups for our sixth graders are provided during the 10:45 service only as these groups place more emphasis on relationships with peers in preparation for middle school and the teenage years. In The Brook Kids, children learn through active games, entertaining storytelling, high energy worship and small group discussions. Our goal is to build on the foundation that was laid during the preschool years. Our leaders are committed to training our kids to navigate, remember and apply the Bible. We also teach our kids that they are a part of the church and have been gifted by God by giving them opportunities to serve and contribute. We equip our parents to make faith conversations at home a common occurrence. Parents receive monthly updates on what their kids are learning and how they can start conversations with their kids to reinforce that learning and promote question asking. Families will also receive weekly devotionals that are fun, age appropriate and provide great opportunities to study and grow as a family. We believe the family is the most important part of kids coming to a place of faith in Jesus Christ and growing in that faith through their teen years into adulthood.
By the time your children leave The Brook Kids, we hope they have learned these three basic truths:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The Brook Students
TBS (The Brook Students) is for students who are in middle school or high school (7th - 12th grade). We meet each Wednesday night in The Refinery at The Brook from 6:15-8:00 PM. Our purpose at TBS is to raise up teenagers who live intentionally to bring God’s Kingdom everywhere they go.
We strive to accomplish this purpose in four specific ways.
WORSHIP: We provide relevant large group worship & teaching times on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month that are unashamedly centered on the Word of God.
GROW: We believe that growth not only happens in our large group setting, but also in our Family Groups that meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. It is here in their Family Groups that students build community with their peers, fight for each other, and also dive deep into God’s word together. Our Family Groups are gender and middle school/high school focused and are each led by two adults.
SERVE: We offer service opportunities throughout the year - locally, nationally, and around the world to stretch, grow, and challenge our students to be the hands and feet of Christ. Not only that, we also offer plenty of opportunities for our students to serve within our church on Sunday mornings.
TOGETHER: On months that have a fifth Wednesday we have a Together Night that is simply focused on having fun and providing an opportunity to help students who are either new to The Brook or do not have a church home connect into our student ministry.
A special note to parents:
We believe parents are one of our greatest priorities. Why? Because not only do you have the most time with them, but also because God has called you to disciple your children. Our desire is to encourage and equip you so that you can make a lasting impact on your students' lives. We don’t simply want to be a resource, but partners in making disciples of the next generation!
As Christ-followers, we have been sent by Christ on the mission of making disciples. Here at The Brook we believe the most healthy and effective way for us to do so is to be in community with each other. We call this Missional Communities.
On the most basic of levels, Missional Communities are groups of people on mission to make disciples. They are more outward-focused than inward. They are designed to help us see the gospel opportunities in our everyday rhythms of life. They are centered, not solely on the purpose of nurturing one another, but diligently recognizing, reaching towards, and praying for those who do not yet know Jesus Christ.
We highly encourage you to get involved with one of our local MCs. If you are interested in checking one out, please fill out this form and we will get in touch with you. As always, if you have any questions about Missional Communities, or what it means to make disciples, please feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
