Get Involved

What an incredible privilege to not just “go to” church, but to be the church – to be part of the Kingdom of God – as we worship, grow, and serve together. Here on the Get Involved page, you can discover some of the great opportunities to plug into the life and ministry of the church. We encourage you to connect into one of our Missional Communities, as we live on mission together for the Gospel. You can also learn about the many avenues to serve in the church, in the community, and around the world. Don’t waste another day. Get Involved!

Missional Communities

As Christ-followers, we have been sent by Christ on the mission of making disciples. Here at The Brook we believe the most healthy and effective way for us to do so is to be in community with on another. We call this Missional Communities.

On the most basic of levels, Missional Communities are groups of people on mission to make disciples. They are more outward-focused than inward. They are designed to help us see the gospel opportunities in our everyday rhythms of life. They are centered, not solely on the purpose of nurturing one another, but diligently recognizing, reaching towards, and praying for those who do not yet know Jesus Christ.

We highly encourage you to get involved with one of our local Missional Communities. If you are interested in checking one out, please fill out a request form and we will get in touch with you.  As always, if you have any questions about Missional Communities, or what it means to make disciples, please feel free to contact us at communities@thebrookchurch.com.

Serve

As followers of Christ we are called to live beyond ourselves for the sake of others, intentionally serving those around us, both inside and outside the church! Here are some of the opportunities that are available to serve in the church, in the community, and around the world.

King's Table   beth.jpg

King’s Table is a ministry of The Brook that provides low-cost, high-quality food to anyone in our community who may be financially burdened or simply looking for a way to better steward their resources. One Saturday a month, we have the opportunity to minister to and share the Gospel with people in our community who may be struggling, as we provide an avenue for purchasing quality food for their families at a reduced rate. Through the generosity of our church family, we are also often able to purchase extra boxes from King Foods
(our ministry partner and food provider) to meet the emergency food needs of individuals and families as well. If you would like to know more about how you, your family, or your missional community can get involved with King’s Table, contact
Beth Cox.

Lunches of Love

Lunches of Love is a ministry of Mission Firefly that provides healthy foods and snacks to underprivileged children at Legacy and Endeavor Elementary Schools. There are several ways to serve in this ministry. Food and monetary donations are two ongoing needs and ways you can help, but volunteers are also needed, usually twice a month, to pack food bags for children to take home with them on Fridays. If you are interested in serving with Lunches of Love, please contact Sonia Brown. Please visit missionFirefly.org to see a list of the different food donations needed.
